Lice and Nits

How To Inspect for Lice Eggs If you part the hair straight down the head, you may see nits or lice. The nits are most often laid behind the ears and at the nape of the neck for warmth. They are slightly translucent, and will catch bright light, so be sure you look carefully. It is often more difficult to see in blondes or redheads, as they blend in much better than brunettes.
The nits are tear-drop in shape, and lie on one side of the hair shaft (as opposed to sitting all the way around the hair shaft). It is easy to become confused between dandruff or dust. Nits are glued on to the hair shaft when laid. If you think you see a nit, you can run your fingers over the egg to see if it moves. Licenders clinicians can come to your home and help you
